Pipe Eas±S DrAin ²³´N
Those fnal drives on your oF-the-road equipment ±
lOaders, cranes, ²rkli³s, tractors anD even tHe GoeR ±
can be real messy to drain.
The drain plug is set inboard o´ the tiµe rim. So,
wHen you pull the plug, that heavy oil runs down on the
wheel and ti¶e·
What you need is a length o´ pipe threaded ¸o
f
tHe
drain plug hole¹ 'y tºis next time y»u pull a scHeduled
¼aise tHe wheel to be drained½ ¼ota¾e tHe wHeel so
the drain plug¿s at the ÀopÁ Âke the plug 01t and screw
in the pipe Á
Ãang a bucKet on the pipe½ ¼otate the wHeel so the
drain is at tHe bottom¹ The oil will drain into the
bucket, and you¿ll have No mess to clean up laterÄ
Be sure, then, to take out the pipe and put tHe plug
back in.
