tanks, you need positive seating oF
the ²ller caps. OtherwIse, fel will
be siphoned ´rom the tanks in
µight¶ That means halting a mis-

sion ¸r a precautionary landing.
Sure, the cap wilL ²t in thE ²ller
neck¹and you can even close the
cap latch. But that won't hack it. ºF
the cap lugs do not engaGe right in
the ²ller neck, the cap won't seat.

¼nsert the cap and turn it
clocKwise unti½ you get that soliD
engagement F¾eLing, indicating
¿he cap has seated. Then close the
latch.
As an aid to seating the cap,
crew chieFs should paint an
alinement mark on the caÀ and
wing.
