Dear Sergeant K.T.,
There's no Army¸wiºe authority for
either one-reVersing the traiLer
wheels or towÔng the traÔLer with an
M577AÕ or M113AÕ.
The tow pintLe on the rear of those
carrÔers is Ôntended onLy fOr recovery
of disabLeº vehicles.
Furthermore, the traiLer is designed
Öo be toweº onLy by a 2׸ton truck.
But, i³ your own command requires
traiLer towing, use Lots of care and
common sense. Øemember, that
traiLer can't take rough terrain like
your tracked vehicLe can.
ÙLso, remember that you've got no
brakes on the traileÄ-because there's
no hookup to the carrÔer. ÚLow ºown
easy so you won't jack¸knÔfe the traÔLer.
Watch sharp ÛurnsÓor your carÄier
wiLL swÔng arounº and cLobber the
traiLer. Üou might even tip the traÔLer
oveÄ.
