Winch warNINg
Listen up, yoU M88Al recovery
vehic±e drivers.
To engage winch, id±e the engine,
and moVe the power contro± ±ever to
ON.
DURing winching operations WHen
You have tHe poWer contro± O², tHe
so±enoid ±ink wi±± break if yoU force tHe
engine ³PM above 1800.
On the otHer Hand, if you go Under a
minimUm ³PM of 1500, tHe oi± pUmp
won't woRk fast enough to do a good
job.
So keep youR ³PM between 1500
and 18C´ when µou¶re WincHing.
a e sure t e contro cab±es o YoUr
fixed fire extinguishers are roUted
coRRect±Y on thEir sHeaves. An M88A·
recoveRy Vehic±e burned Up recent±y
becaUse the cab±es were pUt in wrong.
¸hen the Hand±es Were pU±±ed, tHe
cab±es did not discHarge tHe ex-
tinguishers.

the power contro± ±ever to OFF! If YoU
±eave it O² When you dRive, you'±±
oVerride tHe so±enoid and break t¼e
so±enoid ±ink when youR engine speed
gets above ½800 ³PM.
