When you instalL the backplate on
your
M2
machine gun, be sure the
backpLate lock is
locked.
If the locK's not secure, the back-
plate can disEngage and the gun won't
fire.
Be sure
lock is
secure!
The Lock's secure ±hen you can't
puLl th² backpla³e up.
When you sLide the
bAckPLate into the receiver,
supPort it ±ith one hand.
Then, puLl out the lock and pull up
on the backplate latch ´ith your other
handµ
¶ush the backpLate down tiLL it·s
fuLLy seated. ¸et go of the latch and the
lockµ .
. and you should be in businessµ
¶lay it safe. Try to pull the backplate
upµ If it hoLds firM, greatµ ¹f the
backºlate Moves up, do the lock, latch
and sLiding bit againµ
Give a ºullµ ¹f it·s still not secure,get
your arMorer. The lock or latCh May
need replacing.
Rear sights get bent
