All you M60-series tankers know how hard it is to remove or replace the
personnel Heaters, right?
Well, you can save yourself some time and bacK±brEaking labor By making a
few changes in your method.
•
Loosen the e)haust clamp
Tha± holds The exhaust pipe to the
heaTer exha_²s³elbow.

P´sh the clamp off the elbow
and

leave it on the pipeµ

Make suRE the exhaust clam¶
and venT sleeve are on The exhaust
pIpe¸ Also make sure the heaTer -
exH¹usT tube reTaIner is in placeµ

ºnsert the heater ex»aust

¾nsTall the

mounting bolts
loosely to su¼port the he¿terÀ

PosItion the exhausT clam¼ so

the venT sleeve between tÃemÄ

Åighten the clampÀ

Åighten the ÆounTing boltsµ
If necessary, yoU can loos²n the

mountiNg clamps around the heater to
Position the brackets for mounting to the hull³ Then tighten the clamps´
That's all there is to it³ Youµve saved about half the time and lots of pok¶ng
·round in the d¸rk trying to mate up the exhaust elbow and exhaust p¶pe after
¹ºe heater is Bolted in place³
