Improperly adjusted turn stops let

sure the turn stop adjustme³t is
OK.

stop -

¶·rst, clean the turn stop bolt head
aNd the match·ng lower control Arm

sur¸ace± ¹et a ºuddy to hold a strip oF paper ºetween the two± TheN turn the
steering wheel »¼lL leFt or right, depending on Which turN stop you're checking±
Tell your buddy to let go oF the paper±

bolt and lower c½ntr¾l arm surF¿ce± IF
the paper Falls out, report the probleM
to organ·zÀtional maintenance± IF the
paper doesn't Fall out, check the other
turn stop the same way± IF they both
check out
OK,
pull an operational check
oF both the leFt and right turÁng radiusÂ
In a clear area, stretch out a 50ÃFOot
length oF string or rope FOr use as a
reFerence line±
¶or the leFt turn check, position your
truck so the rear wheeLs are centered on
the reFerence Line± Then tÄ the steer·ng
wheel Åll leFt±
Æold the steering wheel ÅLl leFt and
back up until the right Çont wheel is
centered on the reFerence l²e± Èark tÉ·s
point on the line±
Drive the truck FOrward in a FuLl leFt
turn until the right Çont wheel is
centered over the other end oF the
reFErence line±
