The usual recipe for an Overheated engine in an ML09-series hOwitzer reads

Clean 1t real gOOd with radiatOr c±eaning tOOl, ¼S½ 49¾0-00¿94À8257.
DeÁai±s On cleaning the radiatOr with the tOOl are Âund On Pages 6-34 aNd
6Ã35 Of TM 9-2350À303À20-Ä.

Watch That Shock Absorber Mount
Mechs, keep an eye On the ²ROnt shOck absOrber
mOuNting brackets On yOur ML09Àseries hOwitzers.
The4 bOlts that hOld the bracket tO the hull caN
lOOsen up and wallOw Out the hOles.
YOu caN see the damage as shiNy areas aR³und
the bracket OR as rUst in that area.
Åf yOu suspect yOu've gOt ±OOse bOlts, install new
bOlts and washeRsÆ TOrque the ÇOlts tO 90 ±bÀft.
Then, whenever the pOweRÀpack is OÈt, tOrque
them again.
COu±d save yOu a buNch Of repaiRs if the shOck
mOunting Çrackets break lOOse.

Getting Grease to the Ax²e
Hear grinding Or pOpping nOises when yOu pump the wheels up aNd dOwN
On yOur MÄ98?
½Ot able tO re±ease the whee± ±Ocks after yOu·ve applied hydrÉulic pressure?
Maybe there's NOt enOugh Êube getting tO the axle and axle bushings.
TO get the grease tO the parts that need it, here·s what yOu need tO dO:
P±ace the hOwitzer On its firiNg platºOrm and raise the whee±s tO the "Ëll
upÌ pOsitiOn»
While yOu Íump GPG (geNeral purpOse aircraft grease) intO the fittings ON
each axle, have sOmeONe else cycle the wheels dOwn and up. Make sure yOu
dO this fOr bOth sides Of the axle»
