Ammo Rack Facts
If your tank can't saFly carry a ±lL load of ammo into combat, you could
end up a Fw rounds short and embarrassed to death.
Keep that in² m³nd next time you g³ve the ammo rac´s a chec´-outµ
Ma´e sure the loc´ing handles are

cLosed. Mixing one rotAting tUrret w³th
an open loc´ing handle gets a bro¶en
or bent loc´ing handle or a damaged
½
tube.
If your mission doesn't require am·
mo,
consider
putting tApe over the
closed handles. You might even wire
the handles clOsed.
Keep personal gear out of the am¸
mo tubes. Gear st³c´ing out of the tube
when the tUrret's traversed caN damage
the tube.
¹ever use the handles as steps to
get ³nto or out of the Trret. Bro´eN rac´
handles aNd damaged tubes ma´e fºr
less on-board space fºr ammo. More
than 3 damaged or m³ssing handLes or
tubes ma´es your tAn´ ¹MCµ
r-±±.
Damaged
handles and
tubes can
make your
TaNk ±MC!
If your tAn´ still has the older, long»s¼le rac´ handles, switch over to the
shorter onesµ ½se ¹S¹ 5340-01-039»8593 ¾r the left rac¶ (you'll need 15
handles) and ¹S¹ 5340¿01-039À8594 for the right rac¶ (11 handles needed)µ
Even w³th the shorter handles, you st³ll have to pay attention to what yoÁ're
doingµ Remember, you donÂt want to go oà half-loadedµ

try to jer´ your shiÊt lever out of par´

Ëhe bra´e and the shiÊt lever wor¶
together as a team. Ëogether, they ´eep
your tAn´ where you put itµ But when
you want to move out, the bra´e's the

Sure you 're using the right gage to chec´ your M60-Series or M48Ñ5 tAn´'s
sproc¶et tooth wear?
Ëhere are some modiÒied gages that won't do the job. Ëhey have Èur Ó/Ó6-
inch cut-outs on each side.
Remember! Gages are used to measure wear Ônly on sproc´ets without wear
mar´ indicators on them. ËM 9»2350-253À20-1 gives the Õll procedure.
