Putting prmit numbers on an SF 46, US Government Motor VehIcle O±erator's
²dentification Card³ can be tricky. Es´cially when more tHan one prmIt's involved.
But PAge 9-12 oµ FM
55-30,
¶rmy Motor Trans±ort Un·ts and Oprations, has
some ±re¸ go¹ words on numbering ±ermits.
So when yoºr number's u± on the SF 46, use the right one!
Yo
assign ±ermit numbers by sequence and» year. ¶ctive ¶rmy ºnits ±ut US¶
be¼re t½e numbers. Reserves ±ut US¶R; National Guard un¾¿s use ¶RNÀ.
So the 78th ±ermit issued by a regular ¶rmy outÁt in 1984 woºld be numbered
US¶78Â84.
