Be sure the
barrel and spare are the ones assigned
to your receiver. If they were stored
separatelY, they should have been
tagged with your receiver serial num-
ber.
BarreLs and boLts are heaDspaced to
yoUr receiver at SUpport maintenance.
They go together and shouldn't be
switched to another gUn unLess they're
headspaced to it. Switching barrels
damages both barreLs and boLts and caUses misFres. ±ou don't need that!
²o PM (Preventive Maintenance) on

barreLs. ±ou may need that
spare .
.. bad. Check both barrels ³r twists, bulges, dents and damaged sockets.

As you check the barrel,
LOok the ´ont sight over µor bends and
missing or worn pins. Get ¶t µixed or
replaced, if necessary.

Be sure the rear sight Leaf releases
and sLides ´eeLy. It must have readable

or bang it home. If it's screwed up, get

Work them. TheY
sºouLd Lock in stow and down positions.
If the retaining screws are Loose, tighten
tºem with yoUr combo wrench.
¾Pus¿ the plungers and extend tºe Àet.
Be sure they don't bind, and are not
bent. CLean and Lube the pLuÁgers and
extensions if theY bind.
