You don't need to drain your vehi-
cle's hydraulIc reservoir if you have to
replace any hydraulic line between the
reservoir and the slip ring.
Save yourself from catching
140
gallons of oil in a very large conTainer
by sealing oF the reservoir bottom l±ke
so:
1.
Remove the six screws and
washe±s mounting the fille± Neck
fLange to the ±ese²oir. Remove the
fLAnGe AnD To g³ske´. Be carefuL
with the gaske´ o± you'Ll have to
replace them. If you need them, use
NSN 5330-±0²991-801.

counte±clockwise.

whole thing is as long as it was
before you took the fµLte± oF.

the co»e± pµn back to lock the inner
And oute± handLes togethe±½
InsteAd of the co»e± pin, some
hAnDles hAve a sp±ing-loaded stoP.
Wo¾ the Stop by P±e¿µng the bu»on
and sÀµding the handLes to the maxÁ
imum lock posµtion.

Âowe± the entµ±e a¿embly bAck
into the ±eseÃoµ± and tu±n the handle
clockwise to sc±ew the threaded pLug
µnto the th±eads at the bottom of the
±ese²oi±.

After yoU've Installed the neW lIne,
reverse these procedUres, pUt the f²lter
BacK oN the outer handle and screW the
assemBly BacK Into place³
