YoU Protect it with a piece of string. JUst tie the cable down to the receiver´
transmitter' s panµl gUaRd.
That k¶eps it oUt of the way While the radio's in its moUnt.
·hen yoU're thrU with the radio, remove the cable. Keep it handy by sto¸ing
it in the cliPs on the back of the set.

Antenna Exped±enT
Making a smooth hoo¹Up between a ºeld expedient antenna and yoUr
AN/V»C³12³series recei¼er³transmitter is a snap-with the right connection.
That connection is the ½G³141 ad¾pter. Get one with NSN 5935³0³¿1À³1399.
One end of the adaptor has binding posts Ár yoUr ºeld wire. The other has
a BNC connector that ºts the »T's ANT recepÂcle. The wire ²om the
adapter's red binding post goes to the antenna. The wire ²om the black post
goes to the coUnterpoise.
Keep the adapter handy by Ãing it to the »T's gUard or M·O hanDle. It sUre
beats trÄing to Åed ºeld wire direÆy into the set's recepÂcle.
