the arms room.
However, in field or combat
conditions, the tool might
not be available.
He;e's a way to cure the
cocking lever problem without
a tool.
A
sure sign that the cocking
lever has been installed rear²
ward on the bolt is failure of
the bolt to retract more than
half³way.
Do this:

pin.
Remove the backplate,
driving rod spring and bolt

Retract the bolt as far
as you can and press in on
the buffer detent spring.
Slide the buffer assem´

bly out about two incµes.

Slide
the
bolt
forward
whiLe you pull the buFer to
the rear (the bol¶ forces the
accele·ator down and a¸lows the
buffer to be removed). You may
have to slide tµe bolt back and
fo¹th several times before tµe
bufºer »ees.

When
the
buffer's
out,
push do¼n on tµe front of
the ba½el extension. Slide the
bolt out of the receiver. If the
bolt hangs up, pu¸l tµe exten¾
sion forward and u¿ until the
bolt slides out.

Remove the barÀel exten±
sion.
Push
the
cocking
lever forward and reassemble
the paÁs. ÂinaÃly, avoid all of this
by installing the cocking lever
forward on the first try.
