not supposed to have any movement

IÞ there is frward to rear movement

IÞ the lower receiver eXtension is

IÞ you can see cracÂs in the cap screw
hole ãhen the screwäs installed, replace
the butt plate.

The cap sÁrew is the

stocÕ. Iµ you overtighten it, you damage
the Liner oµ the pLastic butt p½ate¿ ºhe
Liner frces the frward part oµ t¼e stocÂ
against the Lower reæeiver and hoLds it
in p½ace.
Iµ you overtighten the cap screw, it
colLapses the ½iNer¿ çou have no spring
tension, and t¼e s¼oulder stocÕ moves¿

tig¼ten the screw right:
TurN it unti½ the tapered head seats in
the butt p½ate and you µeeL resistance.
TheN, maÕe one more quarter turé¿
¹top¿
Iµ the screw ½oOseNs in use, replace it.
