Dear Editor,
We've had a problem with fapping cRw doo±. Hinge springs that
hold the door open wear out quickly. Then the spring slips out oF the
hoLow pin that holds the door open.

especiaLy iF you have your hands

'Cou±e, the permanent solution
is simply to replace the hinge
spµng¶or the whole hinge assem·
bly. In the meantime, though, you
can extend the l¸e oF the Sg by
banding the sides oF the spring.
We do it with .032¹in lockwiR. It
keeps the spring Fºm slipping ou»
oF the hoLow pin¼
