IlIcone brake fluId (BFS) in your vehicle should be purple± Sometimes,
though, the dye that gives it the purple color breaks down, and the fluid in the
master cylinder becomes brown or amber²
There's no cause fOR alarm if the color changes± The dye does not a³fect the
performance of the brake flUid´
However, if the fLuid is not purpLe, you can't tell what kind of µUId is In your
brake system´ YoU might have a vehIcle with the older H¶ brake fluid´ And
you shouldn't ·Ix the brake f¸uids±
Here're two ways to tell what kind of brake fluid you have:
