SPECIFICPMCSPROCEDURES.
a.
Operator/Crew
PIVICS procedures
are listed in Table 2-1 (p. 2-9). Always perform PIVICS in the order listed.
Once PIVICS procedures
become routine, spotting problems will become much easier.
b.
Before performing
PMCS, read all the checks required forthe applicable interval and prepare all tools needed
for the task. Have several clean rags (Item 15, Appendix F) ready for use. Perform all inspections at the
applicable
intervals.

If any problernsare
discovered
through PIVICS, perform the appropriate
troubleshooting
task found in Chapter
3. If any component
or system is not serviceable,
or if any service does not correct the problem, notify your
supervisor,

Explanations
of the column headings in Table 2-1 are as follows:
Item No. The item numbercolumn
of your PMCS table is to be used for reference.
When completing
DA Form
2404, include the item number for the check/service
indicating a fault. Item numbers also appear in the order
that you must do checks and services for the intervals listed.
Interval.
This column of your PMCS table tells when to do a certain check or service.
Item to Check/Service.
This column of your PMCS table names the item to be checked or serviced.
Procedure.
This column of your PIVICStells you howto do the required checks and services.
Carefullyfollow
these instructions.
Ifyou do not have the tools, or if the procedure
tells you to, have Unit maintenance

This column tells you when and why your equipment
