LEAKAGE DEFINITIONS(continued).
Class II
Leakage of fluid great enough to form drops, but not enough to cause drops
to drip from the item being checked/serviced.
Class III
Leakage of fluid great enough to form drops that fall from the item being
checked/serviced.
CAUTION
Equipmentoperationisallowablewithminorleaks(ClassIorClass 11).Consideration
must be givento the fluidcapacityIn the itemor systembeingchecked/inspected.
Whenoperatingwith ClassIor Class11
leaks,checkfluidlevelsmorefrequentlythan
requiredin your PMCS.
Reportclass III leaks IMMEDIATELYto your supervisoror Unit maintenance.
b. Equipment operation is allowed with minor (Class Ior Class 11)
leakage. Fluid levels in an item/system affected
with such leakage must be checked more frequently than required in PMCS. When in doubt, notify your
supervisor.

Report Class III leaks IMMEDIATELY to your supervisor or Unit maintenance.
