PREPARATION FOR EMERGENCY MANUAL REMOVAL OF BRIDGE ADAPTER PALLET (BAP)

WARNING
Do not attempt to lift a load greater than the rated load capacity of crane or materiel-handling
equipment. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel and damage to
equipment.
NOTE
Manual mode operations using the cab control box are to be performed only when the
normal AUTO mode electric circuit is malfunctioning.
This procedure is performed when a loaded BAP must be removed using a crane or other
handling system and must be done with help of a higher maintenance level.
The BAP weighs 5,780 lbs (2 622 kg). The BAP with bridge bay weighs 19,780 lbs (8 972
kg).

Ensure main frame is fully stowed.

Ensure that, if necessary, main frame is lowered using loading button of the solenoid bypass procedure as
necessary (WP
0019).
