MALFUNCTION
Breather is Plugged or Damaged.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
NOTE
Front pin locks will not release if breather is plugged or damaged.
1.
Remove breather from curb-side air cylinder (Figure 6).

Remove breather from road-side air cylinder (Figure 6).
3.
Pull and release curb-side and road-side latch handles to extend and contract air cylinders
(Figure 6).

If air cylinders extend and contract smoothly, perform the following:

Replace breathers. (WP

(2)
Install air cylinder guard to road-side front pin lock with two screws and lockwashers
(Figure 4).
(3)
Install air cylinder guard to curb-side front pin lock with two screws and lockwashers
(Figure 4).
(4)
Verify problem is corrected.
b.
If air cylinders do not extend or contract or move slowly and bind, install breathers
(Figure 6) and proceed to next Malfunction.
