PRELIMINARY PROCEDURE:
Remove powerplant (page 5-2)
Remove left air intake assembly (page 7-65)
Remove number four (left and right) torsion bars (page 14-24)
Drain fuel tanks (page 7-184)
Remove fuel shutoff cable (page 7-364)
Remove left bulkhead access cover (page 17-2)
WARNING
•
Fuel is very flammable and can explode easily. To avoid serious injury or death, keep fuel away from open
fire and keep fire extinguisher within easy reach when working with fuel. Do not work on fuel system
when engine is hot. Fuel can be ignited by hot engine. When working with fuel, post signs that read "NO
SMOKING WITHIN 50 FEET OF VEHICLE."

Fuel tank weighs about 125 pounds.
Injury to personnel or damage to equipment could result through
careless handling.
Four person lift is required. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury to
personnel or damage to equipment.
