Put rear discharge lever (1) in forward (off) position.

Using pliers, pull cable (2) through hole in bolt (3) until all slack is out

of cable.

CAUTION

Do not put any tension on cable (2) when tightening

nut (4).

Using 1/2-inch wrench, tighten nut (4).

NOTE

Follow-on Maintenance Action Required:

1.

Lubricate tubes. Refer to LO 9-2320-209-12/1.

2.

Refer to discharge valve replacement, para 18-53,

for replacement of bottom cover plate under

tank section of chassis.
