DOES OIL SAMPLE TEST INDICATE OIL IS CONTAMINATED?
Submit oil sample for testing (Volume 5, WP
0820).

CONDITION/INDICATION
DOES OIL SAMPLE TEST INDICATE OIL IS CONTAMINATED?
DECISION
YES - Dirt in oil. Service transmission (Volume 3, WP
0362). Go to Step (2) to verify problem is solved.
YES - Metal in oil. Notify supervisor. Action may not be possible at this level of maintenance.
NO - Go to Step (2) to verify problem is solved.
STEP
2.
IS YOUR ORIGINAL DIRT OR METAL PARTICLES IN OIL PROBLEM STILL PRESENT?
a.
Ensure vehicle is returned to normal operating condition.
b.
Check to see if your original dirt or metal particles in oil problem still exists.
CONDITION/INDICATION
IS YOUR ORIGINAL DIRT OR METAL PARTICLES IN OIL PROBLEM STILL PRESENT?
DECISION
YES - Notify supervisor.
NO - Problem fixed.
