STEP
2.
IS CIRCUIT 33 WIRE IN GOOD CONDITION?
a.
Visually check circuit 33 wire for damage.
b.
Refer to point to point schematics.
c.
Remove instrument cluster panel (Volume 2, WP
0310).

Disconnect circuit 33 wire from coolant temperature gauge.
e.
Connect jumper wire to open coolant temperature gauge terminal.
f.
Place battery switch to ON position.
g.
Momentarily touch jumper wire to vehicle chassis ground.
NOTE
If coolant temperature gauge deflects when grounded, circuit 33 wire is faulty.
h.
Observe coolant temperature gauge for movement.
CONDITION/INDICATION
IS CIRCUIT 33 WIRE IN GOOD CONDITION?
DECISION
YES - Go to Step (3).
NO - Repair circuit 33 wire (Volume 3, WP
0352). Go to Step (4) to verify problem is solved.
