EQUIPMENT CONDITION

MATERIALS/PARTS

l

Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).

l

Fender extension removed (para. 3-300).

Four locknuts (Appendix D, Item 291)

l

Air cleaner intake pipe hump hose removed

Three lockwashers (Appendix D. Item 358)

(para. 3-13).

NOTE

Fender splash shield replacement is the same for both left and

right side. This procedure covers the right fender splash shield.

a. Removal

1.

Remove locknut (8), screw (6), and washer (7) from splash shield (5) and support brace (11). Discard

locknut (8).

2.

Remove three screws (9) and lockwashers (10) from splash shield (5) and cab extension (12). Discard

lockwashers (11).

3.

Remove three locknuts (4), washers (3), and splash shield (5) from screws (2) and cab floor (1).

Discard locknuts (4).

b. Installation

1.

Install splash shield (5) on cab floor (1) and three screws (2) with three washers (3) and new

locknuts (4).

2.

Install splash shield (5) on cab extension (12) with three new lockwashers (10) and screws (9).

3.

Install splash shield (5) on support brace (11) with washer (7), screw (6), and new locknut (8).

FOLLOW-ON TASKS:

Install air cleaner intake pipe hump hose (para. 3-13).

Install fender extension (para. 3-300).
