WARNING
Wear hand protection when handling winch cable. Broken wires
may cause injury to personnel.
a. Removal
1.
Remove setscrew (1) and winch cable (4) from hole (3) in winch drum (2).
NOTE
Perform step 2 if front winch is equipped with level wind and
tensioner.
2.
Pull winch cable (4) out at side roller (9), over level wind pulley (6), down through tensioner
sheaves (7), and out of rollers (8) and (9).
b. Installation
NOTE
Perform step 1 if front winch is equipped with level wind and
tensioner.
1.
Thread winch cable (4) into center of rollers (8) and (9), tensioner sheaves (7), under level wind
pulley plate (5), and over level wind pulley (6).
2.
Insert winch cable (4) in hole (3) of winch drum (2) and install setscrew (1).
