b. Installation

Perform step 1 if installing new front winch.
Remove four screws (7) and (20) and washers (6) and (19) from front winch (18).
Install right mounting support plate (21) on front winch (18) with four washers (19) and
screws (20).

Install left mounting support plate (5) on front winch (18) with four washers (6) and
screws (7).

Position chains on front winch (18) and attach to lifting device.
WARNING`
All personnel must stand clear during lifting operations. A
snapped cable, or swinging or shifting load, may result in injury to
personnel.
NOTE
Assistant will help with step 5.

Position front winch (18) on frame rails extensions (11) and (15). Do not remove chains or lifting
device until front winch (18) is secured.
Install right mounting support plate (21) on right inner support plate (14) with three washers (16),
screws (17), and new locknuts (13).

Install right mounting support plate (21) on right frame rail extension (15) with four washers (22),
new lockwashers (23), and screws (1).
Install left mounting support plate (5) on left inner support plate (10) with three washers (9),
screws (8), and new locknuts (12).
Install install left mounting support plate (5) on left frame rail extension (11) with four washers (4),
new lockwashers (3), and screws (2).
Remove lifting device and chains from front winch (18).
NOTE

Wrap all male threads with antiseize type before installation.
Connect oil supply hose (26) to rear elbow (27) on winch motor (28).
Connect oil return hose (25) to front elbow (24) on winch motor (28).
