Lifting device

Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Chain

PERSONNEL REQUIRED

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

All personnel must stand clear during lifting

operations.

1.

Install chain on two steps (3) and attach chain to lifting device.

2.

Place tailgate control lever in OPEN position (TM 9-2320-272-10).

3.

Remove two retaining pins (2) from dump body (1).

All personnel must stand clear during lifting operations. A

snapped cable, or swinging or shifting load, may result in injury to

personnel.

4.

Remove tailgate (4) from dump body (1) and lower tailgate (4) onto supports.

5.

Remove lifting device and chain from steps (3).

Install chain on two steps (3) and attach chain to lifting device.

All personnel must stand clear during lifting operations. A

snapped cable, or swinging or shifting load, may result in injury to

personnel.

2.

Raise tailgate (4) and position on dump body (1).

3.

Install two retaining pins (2) on dump body (1).

4.

Place tailgate control lever to LOCKED position (TM 9-2320-272-10).

5.

Remove lifting device and chain from steps (3).
