EQUIPMENT CONDITION
MATERIALS/PARTS
Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).
Cotter pin (Appendix D, Item 57)
Sleeve (Appendix D, Item 654)
Antiseize tape (Appendix C, Item 72)
Pipe sealant (Appendix C, Item 5)
1.
Open bonnet door (5) and support with support rod (6).
2.
Remove cotter pin (13) and door rod (2) from bonnet (1). Discard cotter pin (13).
3.
Remove drain tube (7) and sleeve (4) from elbow (3). Discard sleeve (4).
4.
Remove four screws (11), clamps (12), and drain tube (7) from van body (10).
5.
Remove drain tube (7) from two grommets (8) and bonnet (1).
6.
Remove two grommets (8) from bonnet holes (9).
7.
Remove elbow (3) from air conditioner (14).
NOTE
Wrap male threads with antiseize tape prior to installation.
1.
Install elbow (3) on air conditioner (14).
2.
Install two grommets (8) in bonnet holes (9).
CAUTION
Do not crimp drain tube when routing through bonnet holes;
drainage will stop.
NOTE
If tube was damaged, refer to TM 9-243 for tube fabrication.
3.
Insert drain tube (7) through grommets (8).
4.
Install new sleeve (4) and drain tube (7) on elbow (3).
5.
Install drain tube (7) on van body (10) with four clamps (12) and screws (11).
6.
Release bonnet door (5) support rod (6).
7.
Install door rod (2) on bonnet door (5) with new cotter pin (13).
