EQUIPMENT CONDITION

Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Remove six screws (2), lockwashers (1), automatic brake cover (3), and gasket (5) from brake

case (6). Discard lockwashers (1) and gasket (5).

Measure distance between two ears (8) of brake band (7). Distance should be 1-7/32 in. ± 1/32 in.

(31 mm ± 1 mm).

Turn adjusting screw (4) clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen until proper distance

between band ears (8) is reached.

Position new gasket (5) on brake case (6). Apply a light coat of grease on brake case (6) to hold

gasket (5) in place.

Position cover (3) over gasket (5) and brake case (6) and install with six new lockwashers (1) and

screws (2).
