Wind cable (4) on hoist winch drum (6) until clevis (3) end of cable (4) leaves ground.

Thread cable clevis (3) through snatch block (14), over forward boom sheave (11), and back to snatch

block (14).

Remove nut (13) and anchor bolt (12) from snatch block (14) and install cable clevis (3) with anchor

bolt (12) and nut (13).

Install two spacers (15) on forward boom (18) with two screws (17) and new locknuts (16).

Install rear cable guard (20) over rear sheaves (19) on boom (1) with four washers (21), new

lockwashers (22), and screws (23).

10.

Raise snatch block (14) and place in stowage position (TM 9-2320-272-10).

11.

Place hoist control in NEUTRAL position and stop vehicle (TM 9-2320-272-10).

NOTE

Direct assistant to maintain tension on hoist cable and observe

that cable is winding properly.
