NOTE

Bearings and bearing cups must be replaced as a matched set.

Install new outer bearing cup (5) on hub (6). Ensure outer bearing cup (5) is properly seated on hub (6).

Install new plastic sleeve (1) on hub (6).

6.

Install new inner bearing cup (2) on hub (6). Ensure inner bearing cup (2) is seated properly on hub (6).

NOTE

l

Perform steps 7 through 9 if slinger or studs failed inspection.

Use left-hand threaded studs for hub mounted on the left side of

vehicle, and right-hand threaded studs for hubs mounted on the

right side of vehicle.

7.

Remove studs (3) and slinger (4) from hub (6).

8.

Remove damaged studs (3) from slinger (4) and hub (6). Discard studs (3) and slinger (4).

9.

Position new slinger (4) on hub (6), and install with new studs (3).
