EQUIPMENT CONDITION
Front sump tube removed (para. 3-9).
Oil dipstick tube removed (para. 3-3).
Engine oil drained (para. 3-5).

Disconnect oil return hose (6) from aerator (3).
Disconnect oil pickup hose (2) from suction flange (5).
Remove two screws (7), washers (8), clamps (1), oil return hose (6), and pickup hose (2) from oil
pan (4).
Remove six screws (15) and washers (14) from oil pan (4) and flywheel housing (10).
Remove four screws (13) and washers (12) from rear of oil pan (4).
Remove thirty screws (17), washers (16), four screws (19), washers (20), brace (18), oil pan (4), and oil
pan gasket (11) from engine block (21), and front gearcase cover (9). Discard oil pan gasket (11) and
clean gasket remains from mating surfaces of brace (18). oil pan (4), engine block (21), and front
gearcase cover (9).
