EQUIPMENT CONDITION
• Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).
• Spare tire removed (TM 9-2320-272-10).
• Trailer coupling hoses removed (para. 3-209).

Remove two locknuts (16), screws (13), and reflector bracket (14) from carrier base (15). Discard
locknuts (16).
Remove three locknuts (8), washers (7), and screws (5) from trailer harness plug (4) and carrier
base (15). Discard locknuts (8).
Remove locknut (34), washer (33), lockwashers (32), (31), and (30), two ground straps (6), screw (28),
and trailer harness plug (4) from harness base (29). Discard locknut (34) and lockwashers (30), (31),
and (32).
Remove locknut (37), screw (35), and two clamps (36) from fuel lines (38) and carrier base (15).
Discard locknut (37).
Remove locking pin (23) and retaining pin (22) from boom extension (1).
Remove boom extension (1) from boom (21).
Remove four locknuts (3), screws (2), and boom (21) from boom support (20). Discard locknuts (3).
Remove four locknuts (26), screws (24), and two reflector brackets (27) from carrier access
steps (25). Discard locknuts (26).
Remove locknut (10), screw (19), three locknuts (12), screws (18), and washers (17) from frame
brackets (9) and (11) and carrier base (15). Discard locknuts (10) and (12).
