EQUIPMENT CONDITION

Transfer case PTO removed (para. 4-207).

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Keep fire extinguisher nearby when using

drycleaning solvent.

Drycleaning solvent is flammable and toxic. Do

not use near an open flame.

1.

Remove oil line (2) and adapter elbows (1) and (5) from oil pump housing (3) and bearing cap (4).

2.

Remove two nuts (10), washers (7), screws (6), washers (7), and PTO housing (9) from oil pump

adapter (8).

3.

Remove four screws (15) and washers (14) from bearing cap (4) and PTO housing (9).

NOTE

Tag shims for installation

Remove bearing cap (4), shims (13), outer bearing race (12), and PTO shaft (11) from PTO

housing (9).
