a. Remove and Disassemble Shift Unit Housing Assembly.

Place carrier case

in a suitable fixture (fig. 12-3); then remove four capscrews (62)

four lock washers (63) from the shift housing (61) (see fig, 12-2).

Remove the shift housing assembly and gasket (61) and (71) (fig. 12-2). This is shown

also in figure 12-3.
