7-51. FLASHER RELAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (CONT).

a. Removal.

There are two kinds of flasher relays. Model A is round and is strapped to wire harness

with a plastic cable tie; Model B is square and is attached under the dash with a screw,

lockwasher, and nut. For Model A, do steps

Remove six screws (1).

Move instrument panel (2) toward steering wheel (3).

Remove flasher relay (4) from base (5).

Cut plastic cable tie (6) and remove flasher relay (4).

Remove three screws (‘7).

Remove nut (8), lockwasher (9), ground wire (10), flasher relay (11), and screw (12).

Remove headlight guard (13).

Disconnect electrical connector (14) from flasher relay (11).

Remove flasher relay (11).
