Equipment Condition

Cooling system drained as required (para. 3-60).

1.

Remove capscrew (5), stud (4), thermostat housing (3), thermostat (2), and gasket (6) from water

crossover (1). Discard gasket (6).

2.

Clean gasket surface on water crossover (1) and thermostat housing (3).

Install thermostat (2) into water crossover (1) ensuring valve sensor (7) points toward crossover (1).

2.

Position gasket (6) on thermostat housing (3). Apply sealing compound to fastener threads and

insert capscrew (5) and stud (4) to align gasket (6).

3.

Install thermostat housing (3) over thermostat (2) on water crossover (1) with capscrew (5) and

stud (4). Tighten capscrew (5) and stud (4) to align gasket (6).
