Clean rear brake caliper components in accordance with para. 2-13.

NOTE

For general inspection instructions, refer to para. 2-14.

1.

Inspect caliper bore (30) for scoring, nicks, or corrosion. Replace if damaged.

2.

Inspect piston (22) O.D. for scoring, nicks, corrosion, and worn or damaged plating. Replace

piston (22) if there are any surface defects.

3.

Inspect bleeder screw (2) for damage or stripped threads. Replace if damaged.

4.

Inspect piston seal (21) and actuator shaft dust shield (13) for damage. Replace if damaged.
