• Always wear eye protection around FR-12 and R-12, or when servicing
the air-conditioning system. Injury will result if FR-12 or R-12 comes
in contact with eyes.
• Exercise extreme care when handling FR-12 and R-12; direct skin
contact between FR-12 or R-12 may cause frostbite.
• Never smoke in areas where FR-12 or R-12 is used or stored. Injury to
personnel may result.
• Ensure adequate ventilation whenever FR-12 or R-12 is being
discharged. Injury to personnel may result if used in a confined area.
• Personnel with a history of cardiac rhythm abnormalities should be
made aware of potential aggravation as a result of exposure to FR-12
or R-12. Failure to do so may result in injury to personnel.
• Do not attempt to connect servicing equipment while engine is
running. Injury to personnel or damage to equipment may result.

any moving engine parts.
• Make sure hand valves on manifold gauge set are
closed during connection.
• Do not disconnect hoses before back-seating service

• Make sure high side service valve on manifold gauge
set is in OFF/CLOSED position during charging.
