Wear proper eye protection when working around batteries.
Do not allow smoking,
flames, or hot objects around batteries.
If battery is giving off gases, it can explode.
Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
Step 3.
Charge batteries (TM 9-2320-325-14&P)
Disconnect battery terminals and cables
(TM 9-2320-325-14&P)
Check condition of each battery by performing a specific
gravity test (TM 9-6140-200-14).
If any battery fails specific gravity test, replace each individual failed battery
(TM 9-2320-325-14&P)
Step 4.
Check each individual battery by performing a battery load test (TM 9-6140-200-14).
Reconnect batteries (TM 9-2320-325-14&P)
If any battery fails load test, replace each individual failed battery
(TM 9-2320-325-14&P)
