Pump hand pump handle (8) until tire carrier lowers approximately 1 ft. (30 cm).

Repeat Steps (7) through (11).

NOTE

If tire carrier latch is fully engaged, and SPARE TIRE LOOSE indicator

light has gone out, complete Steps (15) through (20).

15.

Remove right lock rod (5) from stowage bracket (6) and pull down to end of groove

(12) until it stops. Turn right lock rod (5) CW until it is hand tight, with jointed end (13)

across tire carrier arm (14).
