CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM OUTPUT CURRENT:
• Dial 03 into TEST SELECT switches and press TEST.
• When PASS is displayed, dial 90 into TEST SELECT
switches and press TEST.
• Start vehicle engine (TM 9-2320-361-10), turn on
vehicle lights and other electrical accessories.
• Set engine speed to fast idle (1200 RPM).
• Press TEST
• Compare number on display with output current
specification as listed below.

• Shut engine and vehicle
accessories off.
• Does engine have alternator
drive belts?

NOTE
After completing repair, rerun GO Chain
tests (WP 0017 00) to verify that problem
is fixed and no other problems exist.
• Output current is greater. Use current probe
to locate accessory or wire drawing excessive
current.
• If current is going into batteries, check
electrolyte level and specific gravity.
• Refer to Troubleshooting Index
(WP 0011 00) to make necessary repairs.
