CHECK DRIVEBELTS:

• Check alternator drivebelts

for proper tension

(WP 0084 00).

• Are belts OK?

INSTALL TEST PROBE CABLE

• Remove access cover to expose output

terminal on alternator.

• Connect P1 of test probe cable W2 to J4

on VTM.

• Short red and black clip leads together.

• Adjust or replace belts (WP 0084 00).

• Install belts and verify

proper tension (WP 0084 00).

WARNING

Disconnect battery ground cable before proceeding (WP 0126 00).

Failure to do so may cause injury to personnel or damage to equipment.

• Proceed to step 6.

• Proceed to step 5.

tests (WP 0017 00) to verify that problem

is fixed and no other problems exist.
