PRESSURE TEST (CONT)
Change 2
2-1072.9
Test continued from page 2-1072.7.
CAUTION
NOTE
Hydraulic oil temperature must be 145°F-
155°F (63°C-68°C) prior to performing
troubleshooting checks.
Failure to comply
may result in inaccurate test results.
Holding DUMP BED UP/DOWN switch in
the UP position will force hydraulic oil
through relief valve and cause oil
temperature to rise.
Measure hydraulic oil temperature near
bottom of hydraulic reservoir.
(10) Attach a temperature indicator sticker to
hydraulic oil tank.
(11) Press and hold DUMP BED UP/DOWN
switch in the DOWN position
(TM 9-2320-366-10-1) until hydraulic oil
temperature reaches 145°F-155°F
(63°C-68°C).
Note location of pressure reducing valve
adjusting screw before performing step (12).
(12) If 325-375 PSI (2,241-2,586 kPa) is not present,
loosen lock nut on pressure reducing adjusting
screw.
Turn adjusting screw counter clockwise
to lower pressure, clockwise to raise pressure.
(13) If pressure cannot be adjusted, clean or replace
pressure reducing valve (para 17-3).
(14) If pressure can be adjusted, replace dump body
cylinder (para 17-4).
Hold pressure reducing valve adjusting screw
while tightening lock nut.
(15) Tighten locking nut on adjusting screw.
In the event of a tachometer failure, a
HAND THROTTLE lever positioned to full
down is approximately 750 RPM.
(16) Set engine speed to idle 750 RPM
(TM 9-2320-366-10-1).
(17) Position PTO switch to off
(TM9-2320-366-10-1).
(18) Shut down engine (TM 9-2320-366-10-1).

pressure transducer.
(20) Disconnect test hose and adapter from tee
fitting.
(21) Install cap on tee fitting.
(22) Raise dump body (TM 9-2320-366-10-1).
(23) Place maintenance legs in stowed position.
