Install
lower hinge (111 on upper hinge (71 with pin (121.

Install upper hinge (7) on tailgate (6) with three washers (l), capscrews (21, washers (11, and
locknuts (9). Tighten locknuts (91 to 8 lb-R (11 Nom).
3.
Secure upper hinge (7) to tailgate (6) with three spacers (51, washers (41, capscrews (31, washers (41,
and locknuts (81. Tighten locknuts (8) to 8 lb-ft (11 Nom).
4.
Install seal (10) on tailgate (6) behind upper hinge (7).
FOLLOW-ON TASK: Install tailgate (para. 10-38).
