NOTE
The replacement procedure for all stowage straps on tailgate is
basically the same. This procedure covers one strap.
1.
Remove strap (3) from loop (5).
2.
Remove four screws (1) and holder (2) from tailgate (6).
3.
Remove four screws (4), two loops (5), and strap (3) from tailgate (6).
NOTE
For inspection and removal of insertnuts, refer to para. 10-56.
Inspect insertnuts (7). Replace if damaged.
1.
Apply sealing compound to threads of four screws (4), and install two loops (5) and strap (3) on
tailgate (6) with screws (4). Tighten screws (4) to 20 lb-in. (2 N
•
m).
2.
Apply sealing compound to threads of four screws (1), and install holder (2) on tailgate (6) with
screws (1). Tighten screws (1) to 32-41 lb-in. (4-5 N
•
m).
3.
Install strap (3) on loop (5).
