Pull latch (12) away from vehicle and hold.

Lift top of pintle hook (11) and let go of latch (12). Pintle hook (11) will be locked open.
WARNING
Tow bar is heavy. Do not attempt to lift or move tow bar without the aid
of two assistants and a lifting device. Failure to comply may result in injury
or death to personnel.
