Notify Field Maintenance to remove wheel and rim assemblies and clean them thoroughly with cleaning
solvent. Dry all working components of handbrakes and wheel bearings. Lubricate handbrakes and
underbody (WP
0077).
b.
Immersion in saltwater greatly increases rusting and corrosion, especially on unpainted surfaces.
Remove all traces of saltwater and salt deposits from all areas of the trailer. Apply grease to exposed
areas of trailer. Notify Field Maintenance that complete disassembly and assembly may be needed.
